The Lowndes County Sheriff Department held its drawing for “the Benefit for Chad Waltman” on March 15, 2017. Chad Waltman is battling leukemia and will have a bone marrow transplant in the near future. The Sheriff’s Department would like to thank everyone in the community for being so generous. The out pouring of giving to this benefit was a blessing.
The winners of the drawing is Kelly Avery winner of a Glock firearm, Ernest Murphy winner of the Smith & Wesson Shield firearm, Ben Guest winner of the Char Broil gas Grill and Kenneth Romans winner of the Stihl Chain Saw.
The Lowndes County Sheriff Department would like to thank the local merchants for their generous donations for the drawing to help raise money, C&P Printing, Diamond Pawn and Gun, Biddy Saw Works and Lowe’s.
The Lowndes County Sheriff Department would like to thank the Ladies Aid Group and the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church for having provided a wonderful dinner and fellowship for the Deputies.
